a small business investment
I make old-fashioned Sock Monkey dolls to sell through our local crafts co-op and at fairs and other regional venues. I learned early on that even though I could find less-expensive socks that looked like your red-heel socks, the quality was always lower. I realized that if I was going to ask potential cusotmers to make an investment in an heirloom, hand-made toy, I was going to have to make an extra investment myself, in long-lasting, quality materials. Thank you for continuing to make a product in which I will invest my time and energy and for which I will ask others to invest their money and expectation for service and durability.
Monkey Dilemma
I love the red heel socks. The quality is excellent. I have not run into another sock with thickness that young children need for playing. The socks don't get the pulls in them like most other socks when used for crafting. But the price hurts my sale of monkeys. I tried raising my monkey prices and the interest wasn't there. So I dropped my prices back to my original $s and have taken it on the chin in profit.
This year I have purchased several in the red, green, yellow, pink, and blue. Those new looks gave me a lift in sewing. I so miss the "monkeys by the pound" and being able to add the colors to the monkey crowd.
Please bring back "monkeys by the pound." It's been a year since you have discontinued this item.
